Mark (Biz LaChance) is a wonderful husband to Daniella and a wonderful dad to the little girl named Deborah. Every day Mark would come home to his lovely happy family. Deborah would climb on top of Mark, and Mark would spin around while Daniella stares at the goofiness, until both of them would get tired. One could say Mark is the perfect guy a girl could ever ask for, but during a stressful time in his event, he doesn’t take it lightly.
Mark is a poised businessman who makes 3 figures with a small group of a company he’s established, and never shows his undefeated look, especially in a stressful environment, where his best friend who is a co-founder of the business, is trying to change a few things, leaving Mark stressed to his bone. In his own time, he copes with his stress by drinking whiskey out of a small bottle, which he carries in his pocket. His wife doesn't know that he drinks, because she thinks that he quit a long time ago, or else she would have left him that day. Mark would discreetly rinse his mouth before any interaction with her, it’s a habit that he’s gotten a liken too.
It was just that one summer day, where Mark took his family to the beach, however, on the way back, he ended up taking his eyes off the road for his daughter to see his silly face, ending up hitting a big pothole, losing control and flipping the car while going 65 in a 40 mile highway. Mark was able to walk out of the car miraculously untouched, but the car ended up in flames, and the daughter and wife were not able to get out on time.
Mark falls into a great depression and drinks his way to lift himself back up. He continues doing this, making himself feel numb to the pain. Months go by and the business he was once in, is no longer in service.
3 Years go by, and money is starting to disappear, knowing that mark also has a degree in psychology, and the fact that his best friend works as a therapist, has finally convinced Mark to become a therapist as well.
